Tips & Tricks for Better Forms Recognition

• Drop Out Colour -
It's a good idea to design the form in a single colour such as red or blue. Then when we scan a form we can set the scanner or the scanning software to "drop out" this colour. We are then left with the information we need to read. The IRIS ICR (image character recognition engine) can read Hand print (capital letters) and engines are available for cursive (free flowing writing) as well.


• Multi Stream Scanning
Using the right tools we can scan an image in colour and black & white. This means the colour image can be used for recognition and the black & white image can be archived in a document management system.
